Create article

Articles created at DIVARTO always have a name, a product code and a base price. You can add variations such as sizes or colors to your product and set images.

If you click on an article in the backend, different areas are available to you.

Article data

Here you define the most important properties of the article. The following article properties are available:

  • Name
  • Article No.
  • Price (in the default currency of the label)
  • Description
  • Cagtegories
  • Up to 3 variants

Bold marked properties are mandatory in every article.

An article can be created without specifying a category and can then be found on the start page of the brand. If you have defined categories (up to 3 category levels are possible), you can assign the new article to them.

Define variants

You can differentiate an article in up to 3 variants. These can be e.g. the size or color or dimensions the width or height. There are no limits here. An article in 3 colours and 5 sizes then comprises a total of 15 variants or SKUs (Stock Keeping Units).

Here you define which of the variants entered in “Item data” is active (i.e. selectable) and what the unique SKU is. An SKU must be unique within the brand and must not be assigned twice. When creating the variants, we already make SKU suggestions, which you can of course change at any time.

Minimum (minimum quantity)

Here you specify the minimum quantity in which this variant can be ordered in a purchase order. By default, this is 0, that is, it can be ordered as of one piece. If, for example, you require at least 10 pieces of an article to be ordered, simply enter this here.

Multi (packaging unit)

In addition to the minimum quantity, you can also specify the packaging unit. If, for example, this must be divisible by 5 (5, 10, 15, and so on), enter 5 here. The retailer must then enter a quantity that can be divided by this value. For example, if he wants to order 7 pieces, he must change this to 5 or 10.

Here you set the purchase prices and the recommended retail price (RRP) for the retailer. If you do not want to specify an RRP, simply leave it blank. If you use other price lines in addition to the standard price line, all variants appear for each price line and can be provided with prices.

Here you specify the quantity in which the individual variants are in stock. With the specification “reorderable” you determine whether the article can be reordered in this variant and the stock may therefore also be below 0 (zero). In this case, it is possible for the customer to place further orders.

You can upload up to 10 images per item. We recommend that you set all images in a uniform aspect ratio (e.g. always in portrait format) so that the look & feel in the showroom is optimal. Please make sure you have a sufficient image size of at least 500 pixels per page length. Images larger than 3,000 x 2,000 pixels are automatically adjusted by DIVARTO. We accept images in JPG, GIF and PNG formats.
